Week 3. Draft
We started a new project called supersize and mini size in this week, I have to I quite enjoy these, group work make it more attractive. Every time we saw our work, I feel a kind of proud. Thus is a good cooperation which we also can get friend in these project.

The Blythe house visting
The textile samples in Blythe house have been showed few weeks ago and the books they showed one the museum is very exciting
We still cannot believe that it is the hand drawing , each part of the drawing is nearly perfect which make it very impressive.
The background of the drawing and textile sample are perfectly suitable, when the first time I saw the pages I cannot even recognise it.the fashion illustration accurately express the both of feeling of the the garments and samples.
The choice of the paper was considered the texture of sample, when I touched them, I realised the feeling of the paper and the sample were very close.
It's a good start that we learn some experience from those books. For me, the connection of the drawing and sample are very important, because the sample can totally express the atmosphere of the drawing.

Ted introduction
The introduction told us TED is about the designing for Eco friendly which I think is a fantasy and suitable for society in nowadays. We need to save any kind of source on Earth, starting now. Being designing student, of course we have a lots of things and techniques to experiment ,but i think we finally can find the best way to save the resource we use in every lessen，like laying out the fabric we used, or recycle the material we waste,etc. Maybe it's hard at the beginning, especially when the time we don't know how to do, i still believe that we will start trying, because we have these awareness.

Weave blok
We finally finished our last block last week, and I feel quite interested in this. I used to think Weaving is similar as knitting but a lots threads, flatting fabric is the only thing that I can make in the block.
At the start I confused about the plan on the paper, how can fill that in our own way to create some fabric pattern in whatever we like? The usage of the lute are various and unbelievable, even in the last day of the weaving block that I cannot understand all of the information about weaving. But I really enjoy that feeling, especially the time I understand how weave the pattern I like.
Unit 2evaluation
We use nearly a term to get in touch the surface of each block , and i start to realise how much technique I grasp at present. Also I find the point that I can improve in the future.
Collecting and analysis things is our first step to get inspiration. During that time, I found out a theme for my project , all of objects are kind of controlling toys which made me misunderstood to the theme. in the beginning of the project, I always used what I drawing to express how I feel to my collection, and it became a wrong region in the start. But in the second time of drawing week and print block, I paid a lot of attention on the detail of objects to mend the misunderstanding. E.g the 'feather of bird'- a part of the shadow puppet, the proportion of colour, the tone and texture of fur of the hand puppet, etc.
For the making sample part, I have learnt various ways to use the machine and to show my idea. On one hand, I tried to explore with different techniques, wanting more fresh knowledge to get in my head. On the other hand, the huge ,quick quantity of new method for experiment made me confuse, and I cannot handle them in these short time.
But on the whole, I still looking forward for what I will do and improve in later on.although there were some incorrect and naive process though this project, I will pick up the mistake i have made this time and get a new start.

Unit 1 evaluation
we did a 100-pages-book by cooperation about rough guide, the unit 1 project, for adapting new soundings and wake up our nerve to accept a total new collage world.
As I wrote, I quite interested in the floor on the way of the road, and each mark and dot on the street can tell us a fantastic story about a block. So I try to recorded what I saw on the way I've been.
Obviously, the drafts I did are more about photograph, few development on these painting except the lightness adjusting for the atmosphere of environment. I used groups of picture to construct my painting.But the method I used in these time maybe not that suitable. It make it more like a photograph book and it is little bit mess.especially a page about a shop with flower pattern, the proportion of colour is loose balance which I cannot express the effect I want to show on my draft, and it looks like a kind of lack of relevance.
The final page i chosen is about expressing the floor beside underground, the most satisfied part is that combining the pattern of the floor tile with the railing of entrance of tube. Because I want to show the location more clearly when I photo the mark.
In the blog, I tried to type what I choosed,obviously the article the short and the it has a lot of mistake , I still need to practice my use of language on the writing so that i can type what I really want to say and catch the point.but it's a good start to describe. In theory task, I mentioned that the reason why i use floor tile to be my theme, then added some pictures on it. What I thing now is I can write more particular things like the history of one street, the weather which cause the pattern on the floor, and the similar object as the pattern,etc. There still has a lot of space to improve.
Therefore, in unit 1,for the book making ,it's a little bit merge and weird on my draft, but the last decision is almost what I want.and for the blog, I think it would be better to fill some particular things if I want to write a article next time.

Print bock
We enjoy these two weeks and this is the first time i try to use screen print which i find it is quite beyond my imagination. These are so many ways change our drawing to become a piece of fabric. But i made my works without many changes.
Unfortunately, some piece of fabric was dyed by the steam machine, and the pattern on the silk cannot be seen clearly.
Before these, i learned basic ps skill on digital workshop which it's connivence to develop our draft.
After class,i started my searching on street.
I quite like the black and white feather detail of repeating owls on this cloak. Te colour of black and white make the detail more clearly, I can see every feater on the cloak.
The colour on this pant is lovely, it's combined with different kinds of flower but it's not like a mess.
the dots onthe cloth like te splaing brush which make the pattern more interesting.
I think the diamond shape is interesting which be arranged in a graduation process, and the suitable colour on the skirt make it be more attractive. In some way, it is like optical art.
The combination of the Leopard and ocean doesnt made me feel any weird but more fancy，it change the leopard feeling which used to give me. Now I think it is a soft ocean plan(or fish) rther than i animal on land.
